Il Bucolicum Carmen è un poema pastorale scritto da Francesco Petrarca tra il 1346. e il 1364. L'opera, scritta in latino, richiama le Bucoliche e l'Eneide del poeta romano Virgilio. Se le ecloghe virgiliane hanno un carattere esegetico, drammatico e misto, quelle di Petrarca hanno tutte uno stile drammatico. Non a caso l'allegoria e la forma dialogica dell'opera petrarchesca rimandano a vicende autobiografiche del Petrarca, ma anche a eventi politici e sociali di metà Trecento.
