  • Poeta. Segundo o DGLAB: "Pai de João Roiz de Sá e Meneses, é um poeta típico da velha escola e ocupa no Cancioneiro um lugar eminente. O seu género preferido é o diálogo em verso com outros poetas (Diogo Brandão e Fernão Brandão), geralmente sobre temas galantes, mas também faz cantigas e, num momento em que estava «com doentes da peste em casa», compõe uma oração em verso a Nossa Senhora. Tem no Cancioneiro um total de vinte composições."
