Our Digital Library is one of the few that is a primary and free source of literary documents in full version. These works are from Brazil and Portugal, from the best available editions.
Project born in NUPILL - Center for Research in Informatics, Literature and Linguistics and in LAPESD - Laboratory of Research in Distributed Systems, the Digital Library of Portuguese Language Literatures is the largest database of literary history of Brazilian and Portuguese literature that exists, open to users of varied interests, from the amateur reader to the specialist researcher.
In addition to consulting the digitized works, it is possible to access a catalog with biobibliographic data of the Brazilian and from other Portuguese-speaking countries; documents of the personal collection of some writers of the State of Santa Catarina are also available. Our digital library is a rich source of research on literary history, and it is possible to conduct research on writers, published works, publication dates, publishers, genre of works, among others. it is important to point out that the scanned works are smaller in number than those whose information is also available.
Our proposal is to create an environment of reading and teaching-learning literature, from the use of the digital library, including annotation tool. Any user can use the Library and the Digital Database, without having to register, nor to enter with name and password. However, for those who register as a user and enter the system with name and password, it opens the possibility of making annotations in the digitalized works that are being read. Anywhere in the world, at any time, this reader, when entering the Library with his name and his password, will have access to the annotations he has already made and could do others.
The Digital Library is a ceaseless activity, that is, we are often adding and correcting data, as they are always subject to omissions and inaccuracies. Therefore, we would like to request the collaboration of all users for the improvement of the data, sending us all the doubts and suggestions that they consider relevant ( nupill.ufsc@gmail .com ).
